RESTORED - Online Book Study Introduction In 2019, the author shared her journey with God in her book "Just As You Are," which emphasized discerning and listening to His voice. Shane, a young man she met and married, had premonitions of a plane crash, a bright light, and love from God. His last premonition was of his own death in a farming accident. The author believes that we need to know Jesus personally and deeply to hear His voice. One morning, she found herself stuck in a situation where everything had come to fruition but was not moving forward. She prayed to the Lord, who responded in silence, revealing that we are all in uncertainty and need to trust in His guidance. Take Me to Introduction Chapter One - Desperation Chapter One reflects on our relationship with God and mindset, which is shaped by their thoughts and exposure to good, pure, beautiful, and excellent things. To be like Jesus, we must think like Him and transform our hearts like Him. Our thoughts lead to action, and it is crucial to avoid giving Satan a foothold in our thoughts. When faced with challenging or terrifying moments, we should test our thoughts and ask Jesus to remove them. The author also discusses the concept of desperation and how it can lead to a life of desperation or a life of hopelessness. They suggest that a breakthrough in life may be on the horizon, and to remind ourselves not to lose hope, as God has a plan for us and is waiting for us to take the next right step with Him. Take Me to Chapter One Chapter Two - Who Am I? Bad things happen to good people, but they can be used by God to turn them for good. Esther and Moses are examples of people who lacked confidence in certain areas, but God's response reminds them that He makes them able to do what He has asked. We should rely on God to accomplish our tasks, instead of being self-sufficient, and taking full credit for our accomplishments. By relying on God, we recognize that we cannot do it without Him, and He receives all the glory. Take Me to Chapter Two CHAPTER THREE - TAKING THE NEXT RIGHT STEP God's ability to handle anything is evident in Luke 1:37, which states that no word from God will ever fail. This verse implies that whatever God says will happen, and our faith in Him often gets smaller due to past prayers that didn't yield the desired answer. As powerful as God is, He moves in response to our faith, and it is crucial to believe in His words. God has a specific plan for our lives, and when we know what He says is accurate, all that is left is a response. Mary, Jesus' mother, responded to an angel's request in Luke 1:38, expressing her belief in God's power and the fulfillment of His word. Confidence in saying yes to God is only possible when we know what He has asked is actual and possible.Description goes here Take Me To Chapter Three CHAPTER FOUR - BRINGING OTHERS WITH YOU God calls us to fellowship on earth and in heaven, aiming to become more united and serving God. This involves helping everyone around us, even those who are hurt or broken. The hope and glory of Christ bind us together, making us children of the Most High. God's patience is part of His loving plan, and the goal is to glorify Him by having one mind and one mouth. Christians should not let disagreements separate them, especially between Jews and Gentiles. They should receive each other with kindness and forgiveness, knowing their flaws but forgiving them. Christians should stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together but encouraging one another. Forsaking fellowship can lead to discouragement, so Christians should gather to receive, give, encourage, bless, and work together. Isolation leads to lack of encouragement, unity, and a check and balance in actions. Take Me To Chapter Four
