Chapter One – My Story
March 4, 2019
I had no idea what to say for our discussion regarding Chapter One – My Story. Then I remembered a memory a couple weeks following Shane's funeral. I received a note from my great aunt, Sister Anna Rose. Her note went like this:
"My dearest Lisa, I am sorry for the loss of your husband Shane. I know you are sad and rightfully so, however God must of needed Shane for a special job in Heaven. So it is okay to grieve for a while, however God has something special for you as well. He loves all of us and one day we will all be together in Heaven. You are in my prayers." Sister Anna Rose
I would often read this note to encourage me and to get me through the day. Sister Anna Rose's words put things into perspective for me such as:
It was okay to cry and grieve.
To grieve for a time, but not for a long time because God had a plan and purpose for me.
And a reminder that one day we would all be together in Heaven.
Revelations 21:3-4 spoke to my heart, and I wanted to share it with you.
"I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with the human race. He will dwell with them and they will be his people and God himself will always be with them [as their God]. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain, [for] the old order has passed away.”
If you would like to add more to your weekly study, here are some Scripture verses to read: Ezekiel 37:27, Isaiah 25:8, Isaiah 35:10 and Revelation 7:17. As I mentioned in the video I would be also including a Psalm to pray throughout the week. This week I have chosen Psalm 43.
Please remember to comment on one of the questions presented at the end of Chapter One over in the comment section of the Group Study Page. Congratulations to Kim Farley for introducing herself in the comment section last week. Kim will be receiving a beautiful Journal for her prize.
